Since the dawn of humanity, people have been using art to make sense of the world around them. In this workshop, we will dissect a market squid and explore a traditional Japanese method of printing, a practice which dates back to the mid-1800s. First used by fisherman to document their catches, now this technique is used by scientists and artists to learn anatomy and to create a lifelike impression of an organism. In this workshop, we will learn about cephalopds from marine scientists while making a work of art of your own.
